Tooth-Colored Fillings
Traditionally, the method of repairing a small cavity involves replacing the damaged enamel with a silver or amalgam filling. This has always had a few drawbacks—the restoration is an unnatural color, and the material responds to temperature, which can make the tooth sensitive. That’s why we use a composite resin alternative instead. This substance can be shaded to perfectly match the enamel around it, and it can be placed in a way that allows Dr. Kitt to preserve as much of the healthy tooth as possible, leading to a much stronger result. And, it doesn’t cause temperature sensitivity as well.
